Our topic for this term is:

The United Kingdom.

There are two classes in Y3

3HJ - Taught by Mrs Howard-Jones with support from Miss Reddy, Mr Spencer and Mrs Rossetti.

3S - Taught by Miss Stephenson with support from Mr Piercy, Mrs Swift and Miss Fennell.

Both classes are supported by Mrs Pickering.

Reminder:  Homework is now online.  Children should be reading four times a week and completing the tasks set for maths each week.  If you have any problem accessing this, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Homework

Maths homework is set on a Friday using the MyMaths website. A reminder of the login details will be sent home later this week.  The activities set match the work the children have been doing in their lessons each week.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email.

PE Days:

Class 3HJ – Wednesday

Class 3S – Friday

On PE days the children need to come into school wearing their PE kit.  School uniform should be worn on every other day.

SRE Lessons

Over the next couple of weeks, the children will be learning about body differences as part of our Sex and Relationships Education, which the children missed in Year 2.  We will be following the Christopher Winter SRE Programme. If you would like to speak to us about what your child will be learning, please do not hesitate to contact us.

REMINDER

Please don't bring anything to school other than a lunch box (if required), coat and water bottle.  A water bottle is really important at the moment as water fountains cannot be shared. Some children have brought in books, toys and stationary from home - please can you make sure these stay at home.  Many thanks.

Children will be learning their multiplication tables regularly in class and have their own Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) login details, which can be used at home too.

Some useful websites to help with learning times tables are:
