Football Report - Griffins and Lions in Action

On Monday night Blue Coat Griffins and Lions were both in action again against Huntington. The weather was stacked against us and the match resembled a vintage FA Cup tie! Griffins were out to regain some pride after their last match defeat and started well with Cameron slotting a low drive into the bottom corner. Huntington equalised straight away and the game continued end to end; James made it 2-1; then 2-2; Josh made it 3-2 just before going to 3-3 at half time. After an inspiring team talk about football on a greasy surface, the flood gates opened and within 10 minutes we were 8-3 up with two each from James, Tom and Ollie to complete the scoring. It was a great performance from all the boys, especially James Hodges who was deputising in goal.
The Lions were still looking for their first win of the season and all the boys gave 100%. They just need to be a bit more settled in front of goal and we will start scoring again, but the boys played with a smile on their faces, even though Huntington went home victorious.
